In Minbya Township, local residents are reading the ARRAKKADESH newspaper, which began distribution with its first issue on October 15. This newspaper was distributed to various townships in Rakhine State experiencing phone and internet outages, with 30 copies per township.

ARRAKKADESH is a newspaper collaboratively produced by Rakhine-based news agencies, including the Coastal News Agency, Arakha Times, and The Akyab Post. It aims to ensure that residents in Rakhine, where phone lines, internet, and electricity have been cut, have access to reliable information and press freedom. The newspaper is distributed free of charge to serve the public.

In a region where access to information is highly restricted, ARRAKKADESH serves as an independent media outlet, highlighting news on press freedom, human rights, and public rights with clarity and responsibility. Residents in villages across Minbya Township who read ARRAKKADESH have gained awareness of justice, accountability, human rights, and public rights. The publication has helped raise public awareness and strengthened support for press freedom and rights within the community.
